FLOYD MAYWEATHER has successfully
played smart ass on everyone! He has cunningly put
Manny Pacquiao in a "Damn if you do; Damn if you don't"
situation. Floyd has one obvious goal in mind: Retire
undefeated, and be remembered as "the greatest of all
time" (sic). Remember, he has declared publicly many
times before that "he is the greatest" (Greater than
Muhammad Ali). Now, that is something money can't buy.
But if we talk about money, Floyd knows that he can
earn as much, if not more, if he retire undefeated,
(and be the greatest of all time), in terms of rights
(books, movies, TV, web, etc), branding, appearance
fees, marketability, etc., and many more. While, if he
choose to fight Manny and lose, he will just be
remembered as a LOSER with a big mouth! (with a
one-time take of $40M, at least). The choice is
obvious for him. But why all this brouhaha, if he does
not want to fight Manny in the first place? Floyd sees
a beautiful opportunity to assassinate Manny's
character in building the issue. By prentending he
wants to fight and later, asking for the impossible,
Floyd knows he will be the clear winner in this fiasco.
Floyd is not dumb. The clever reason why he is
insisting heavens and earth for the impossible is that,
he knows, Manny simply CANNOT do it. Even if Manny
wants to, he simply CANNOT. He will surely lose, if he
does. It already happened to him. So Floyd knew it. He
pretended to agree on everything (on the purse sharing,
on weight limit penalty, catch weight, venue, date,
gloves, etc.) in unbelievable, suspicious record time!
(yes, it was so quick!) Why? Because, he will NOT
fight in the first place. He knew the Olympic-style
blood testing demand will kill the fight on the table.
(And by the way, Floyd already has 40 fights in his
professional career. How many of these fights had been
subjected to the so-called Olympic Style blood testing
of his imagination? NONE. How many great fights of
great figthers like Muhamad Ali, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray
Leonard, Roberto Duran, Oscar dela Hoya , etc., had
been subjected to that so-called Olympic style blood
testing? NONE. Is there ANY professional boxing match
in history ever subjected to that Olympic-style blood
testing? NONE. So, WHY IS THE SUDDEN, OUT-OF-THE-BLUE
DEMAND BY FLOYD MAYWEATHER, for such so-called
Olympic-style blood-testing?) Boxing, as a professional
SPORT, has its own rules. It has sanctioning and
regulating bodies. Long-established, respected and
recognized by everyone (including Mayweather himself,
lest he forgets). So, why change all these overnight?
Why? And, blood testing done immediately AFTER the
fight will yield the same results as the one done
BEFORE the figth. But why on earth, Mayweather
dictates that blood testing should be done randomly
BEFORE the fight ONLY? Why? Well, we already pointed
out the obvious. Floyd Mayweather (whose father, sorry
to mention, is a convicted drug trafficker, by the way)
has no intention of fighting Manny Pacquiao. He has
avoided fighting tough and good fighters in the recent
past, like Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley and Miguel
Cotto. And now, Manny Pacquiao. (If Floyd refused to
fight Miguel Cotto before, can you imagine how much
more with Manny Pacquiao???) So yes, I now certainly
agree, Floyd Mayweather will simply go down in boxing
history as the undeafeated and the greatest. The
undefeated and the GREATEST chicken COWARD of all time,
that is.
